We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our high-growth organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on accounting, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting monthly close activities, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
This position operates in a hybrid work environment, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and review general ledger (GL) accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Support audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and helping ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Analyze variances, trends, and financial results, and provide insights to management.
- Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with AP, AR, FP&A, and business teams to ensure accurate financial data.
- Maintain and enhance internal accounting policies and documentation.
- Assist with special projects, system enhancements, or ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience
- At least 1 year of industry general ledger accounting experience
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience working with mid- to large-sized ERP platforms
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred:
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification
- Experience in a high-growth environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar
